该项目旨在鉴定导致鱼类侵略性的遗传标记。在水产养殖业中,在不损害鱼类福利的情况下同时养殖大量鱼类是至关重要的。鲑鱼种群中的某些个体产量较高而有些个体具有侵略性。较强的侵略性形成了等级制度,给劣等鱼带来了压力。由于鲑鱼生产是全球性的产业,因此对于这种鱼类的侵略性的探究非常重要。

The project aims to identify genetic markers involved in aggression in fish. Within aquaculture industry is is vital to manage large group of fish, without compromising the welfare of the fish. Some individuals within salmon population tend to be productive (adapted for the industry) and aggressive. The aggressive personality creates a hierarchy that creates stress for the inferior fish and since salmon production is a global industry, this concern is of great importance.
